POKKIREES

 A small recap about my POKKIREES

In 2013, we formed our FIRST Whatsapp Group. Two of us, Sindhu and I have been friends for the past 33 odd years and since then, I have become a Jiggari dost of her two sisters, Sandhya and Seema and thus we started the Pokkiree group, when whatsapp started the groupism. From there on,  we began to add others Lata was the first one to be added and then Rekha who was also our classmate joined later. Then came Sheena, Jyothi and Smitha. The final icing of the cake was my chechi, who happens to be the much loved elder sister of our group and thus a pack of 10 was formed.

Though we always met up once or twice a year, it was only for lunch, though all of us wanted to spend an entire day together. 

It finally happened on May 17, 2022 , when our trip was happily executed to Kadamkudy.

It was such a beautiful journey where we could laugh and cry to our heart’s content. The never ending photo sessions and thanks to Siby, who turned up to our place just to click our pics. Thanks  to Sheena for having brought him over though he is ever ready to click pics of this crazy bunch.

Our group name has been aptly put long back because of me and Sandhya (പോക്കി പറയുകയുക അല്ലാട്ടോ  😘) and all those pavams who joined later are slowly maturing up and becoming major and minor  pokkirees and we both have become gajapokirrees (എന്താല്ലേ !)

A group wherein we can just come and blurt out our tensions and problems and prayers are there for each of us and for our families round the clock…and now after all these years just by this one day’s trip the bonding has become huge though Deep Down, we know that its always there…
